Neilson's fresh milks bottled in the Neilson® Freshness Bottle are prepared using the latest technology to maintain purity and flavour at the peak of freshness. The unique “freshness bottle” protects the milk from impurities which can cause milk to spoil. This process (similar to that used for fresh juice and other beverages) means Neilson's bottled milks need no refrigeration until opened. A sealed bottle can be safely stored at room temperature for months with no loss of taste or nutrients. So you can stock up without filling up your fridge.
All fresh milk undergoes a heat process to ensure its safety, quality and shelf life. Pasteurization, the traditional method, extends the shelf life of milk; but pasteurized milk still needs to be refrigerated to prevent spoiling.
A newer, more effective process is UHT (Ultra High Temperature) Pasteurization, which combines optimal heating with rapid cooling to extend milk’s shelf life without impacting its taste. The cooled milk is sealed in sterilized aseptic packaging. This keeps milk perfectly safe and fresh for an extended period of time…without the need for refrigeration.
